What is the difference between Kuki Hojicha and Gokujo Hojicha?
Gokujo Hojicha is the standard hojicha for many of our customers. This tea is made as a blend of roasted stems and leaves. It has a nice balance of classic roasted character, sweetness, and fragrance.
Kuki Hojicha is made from just the roasted stems. Compared to Gokujo Hojicha, Kuki Hojicha has richer flavor and a unique “stems” character- round, hearty, and crisp. If you love the taste of Gokujo Hojicha, but are looking for a tea that is more full-bodied, then this tea is a must-try.
For your first taste of hojicha, we recommend the leaves and stems version, Gokujo Hojicha.
